The singer and entrepreneur, 45, is dating musician Thomas Eisenhood, a source tells PEOPLE. Eisenhood currently lives in Nashville and was a member of the Stoop Kids band, which broke up in 2023 per itsInstagrambio.
"She's happy. She's in a great place, excited for her future," the source exclusively tells PEOPLE.
TMZwas first to report on Simpson dating Eisenhood.
The romance comes over a year after Simpson andEric Johnson, 46,announced their separationin January 2025. The exes were married for 10 years and sharethree children: daughtersMaxwell Drew, 13, andBirdie Mae, 7, and son Ace Knute, 12.
The source adds that the exes are successfully co-parenting after their split.
"She and Eric are committed to being the best possible parents they could be, having a harmonious relationship and supporting their kids," the source says.
Earlier this month, a source told PEOPLE thatJohnson and Simpson are still living togetherwhile they try to "figure out the best path forward" and sell their family home in Hidden Hills, Calif.

"He's been living there, but they're working on selling the house," the source said. "The goal has been to keep everything as stable and as friendly for the kids as possible."
The nearly $17 million home has been on and off the market since they announced their split, according to property records.
The insider added that Simpson and Johnson, whotied the knot in 2014, "still have a great relationship. They're still co-parenting. The main goal is the kids, but they're moving toward next steps."
They addressed reports that Johnson was living in a home nearby and said, "He's not right now, but that is what the plan is."
As for Simpson, she's "focused on her kids," the source continued. "She's focused on her music right now, her career, getting back to work, and that's it."

Simpson confirmed her separation from the former NFL player in January 2025, telling PEOPLE at the time, "Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage."
"Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them," Simpson said. "We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family."
