Patriots announce new OL signing, one release in Week 2 roster movesMatt Legros, The New England Patriots announced that they have signed offensive lineman Xavier Newman-Johnson to their practice squad and released offensive lineman Jacob Rizy prior to their Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Newman-Johnson joins the Patriots as an interior lineman with experience. He has played four seasons in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans (2022-23) and New York Jets (2023-25).
