As Ohio State football looks to finish off its Week 11 road game at Purdue, the top-ranked Buckeyes will continue to attempt to do so without one of their top wide receivers in Carnell Tate.
After not playing a single first-half snap against Purdue, the Buckeyes' wide receiver, who has been one of quarterback Julian Sayin's favorite go-to targets this season, is being held out for the remainder of the game, according to The Columbus Dispatch, part of the USA TODAY Network.
The Buckeyes went into halftime leading the Boilermakers 24-3 Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana.

It appears that Tate is injured, though it remains unclear as to when that injury occurred and what type of injury he has.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, part of the USA TODAY Network, Tate was not included on the Buckeyes' unavailable list that was submitted to the Big Ten Conference before kickoff. An Ohio State spokesperson did not identify the nature of the injury, according to The Dispatch.
Tate stood on the Buckeyes' sideline for the entirety of the first half in uniform but without a helmet.
Ryan Day on Carnell Tate not playing vs Purdue
Here's what Ohio State coach Ryan Day told the Big Ten Network going into halftime when asked about Tate's absence vs. Purdue:
"He's not gonna play. We're gonna hold him," Day said. "It was kind of a thing before the game — we just didn't feel comfortable putting him out there, so you won't see him in the second half."
